They didn't respect my right to withdraw the subscription

I tried to use my right to withdraw the subscription within the first 14 days of its start, but they refused to make the refund, alleging I should take washed information technology during the trial period. But the German police says one is allowed to withdraw without giving any reason within ii weeks later the beginning of the real subscription. I created a complain at the Verbraucherzentrale in Deutschland, they cannot just abuse their users like this.

Helpful support team, unsubscribed and refunded

Information technology is supposed to exist a service for expats. I have seen it work really well in Abu Dhabi, where it was all expats running amazing parites, tourist excursions and networking events. I was only there for ii weeks, merely it totally made my holiday and showed me a different side to the place.

Recently I went to Islamabad and decided to join InterNations again. Non what I expected. It pretty much consists of local Pakistanis and really changes the feel of the group. Unfortunately they are pretty disorganised besides. The one outcome where people actually turned up to was a meal at a rooftop buffet restaurant. There were supposed to exist 18+ people, only 5 or 6 other people turned upwards, and most it seemed were ambassadors. I tried to be friendly simply the locals really didn't seem to connect with me bar 1 really friendly chap. They didn't seem interested. I decided to get out of there, and so paid my bill, said goodbye and was leaving. Ane of the administrator guys came running behind me and accused me of not paying my bill, and wouldn't allow me go until nosotros both went to the managing director. Safe to say I felt pretty insulted and have stopped my membership of this group. There have been a couple of positive interactions but overall non worth my fourth dimension.

To summarise, Abu Dhabi, run past expats for expats, amazing. Islamabad run by locals, so a very different atmosphere and experience. If you're looking for that international feel I would propose to steer clear.

Had I known, I hadn't subscribed to Albatross

This organization makes me think of them as scammers. They don't downgrade automatically from Albatross to Bones every year. Canceling the Boundness membership is a pain. Had I known they used such tricks I had never subscribed. Anyways, information technology doesn't worth it anymore since the pandemic.

In response to all other posts...yes I accept received threatening renewal notices from Internations, so I had no choice but to renew my membership.
They do state its necessary to abolish hereafter renewals in advance. I've done that, today, for Nov. If I receive no response, I will transport some other message and accept a snapshot.
Of more business concern, is that this company does not vet, check out, nor verify members. I've been approached many times by criminals looking through the App for potential victims to defraud. In the early on stages of membership, I stupidly trusted the Internations app and gave out my fone number or email address to ii members. I'thousand still enduring the effects of debit card fraud, loss of emails, hacks into my mobile, despite factory resets, et al.
Fraudsters register with Internations, with niggling information, and then contact members who appear to accept money. I've, several times, noted that a certain nationality.25 different names..I cannot state which here, for legal reasons, has, on 25 occasions registered for an event before long afterwards I have washed so. If I abolish...they do also. If I look at their profile prior to the outcome...they cancel.

The very worst experience I ever had in…

The very worst feel I ever had in subscribing to something. They won't allow y'all to unsubscribe. They send you threatening letters virtually taking y'all to court near not paying for membership fifty-fifty after you accept sent them emails for the umpteen time that you lot don't want to renewal the membership!! There is no button yous can press to unsubscribe fifty-fifty after you lot log in to change your status. Finally I sent them an email that I would sue them for mental distress. Then they let me go. This is the subscriber BEGGING the InterNations HQ mob! Practise Not Even THINK ABOUT SIGNING UP. Biggest regret ever!!!!!!

Deceptive renewal practices
